François Le Vaillant is competing in the National Competition category at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival to be held on 31 January - 8 February 2003.

François Le Vaillant has won the prize for Best Short Film at the 1st Tenerife International Animation Festival 2002.
2DTV nominated for British Comedy Awards
2DTV has been nominated for Best New TV Comedy at the prestigious British Comedy Awards 2002. The ceremony will be held on 14th December and will be televised from 9.00pm on ITV1.
2DTV third series starts on 27th November
Series 3 of 2DTV begins at 10.30pm on ITV1 on 27th November 2002. The new episodes will be over double the length of previous shows.
Bounty Hamster up for BAF award
The Free Lenny episode of Bounty Hamster, the Silver Fox series that CelAction provided 3D animation for, is up for the TV Series For Children award at the Bradford Animation Festival, being held from the 14th to the 16th November.
2DTV VHS and DVD out on 25th November
A compilation of over 100 sketches from 2DTV series 1 and 2 will be on sale from 25th November, on both VHS and DVD.
Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! broadcast dates
The highly anticipated series Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! from Collingwood O'Hare has a provisional broadcast date on ITV1 next year. It will be shown at 4.50pm each day from 6th January 2003.
CelAction2D training course at La Poudrière
A week long training course in CelAction2D for 6 European animators was completed last week at La Poudriere, one of France's most respected animation schools. The unique course covered all the features of the software, and was over-subscribed. Watch this page for details of future training courses.

Shoot The Dog, the latest music video by pop superstar George Michael, was produced in under three weeks by the 2DTV production team, in the style of their massively successful TV series. The video can be seen at www.georgemichael.com.
2DTV gets highest ever ratings
The 2DTV episode that aired on the weekend of 25th May 2002 got 6.23 million viewers, with a massive 27.45% audience share. This is an incredibly high figure for an animated series on the UK.

Repeat showing of The Big Knights on CBBC
The award-winning series The Big Knights is being repeated from 29th April 2002 on CBBC at 3.55pm. The whole series will show at this time every day Mondays-Fridays for three weeks.
Second series of 2DTV starts tomorrow

François le Vaillant, directed by Carles Porta as part of the Artist-in-Residence project at Folimage, is now being seen at festivals around the world. The 8 minute project is the first to be made at film resolution in CelAction2D.

History On Toast, a 13-part series of short historical parodies, produced by Absolutely Productions, is now airing on the Disney Channel (in selected Territories). It was animated entirely using CelAction2D.

2DTV has been nominated in the Animation category of the Indie Awards 2002. The awards evening will be held on 13th March 2002.
Astley Baker make comic strip of The Big Knights
This is kind of old news, but we realised we hadn't told anyone about it... Six completely new The Big Knights stories were produced as comic strips for Britain's FBX comic. The show's creators, Mark Baker and Neville Astley, used CelAction2D to create the artwork using the actual models used in the TV show. This not only ensured exact replication of the style of the show, it also allowed the directors to make the comic strip themselves without bringing in traditional illustrators, thus creating another direct revenue stream for the animation production company.
