Moshi Monsters movie made with CelAction2D
On 20th December 2013, Moshi Monsters: The Movie will be released worldwide. Made completely in the UK, on a modest budget, this film really shows the ability of CelAction2D to produce world-class animation in very short time-frames with a small crew.

Four BAFTA nominations for CelAction shows
Sarah & Duck from Karrot Entertainment and Peppa Pig from Astley Baker Davies have been nominated in the Best Pre-School Animation category, Horrible Histories has been nominated for Best Comedy and Horrible Histories: Gory Games has been nominated for Best Entertainment at the Children's BAFTAs to be held on the 24th November 2013.

King Rollo Films are holding a two-week training course in CelAction2D on 28th October at their UK studios. The course is supported by Creative Skillset. First screenshot of CelAction2D Version 4
Here is the first public screenshot of CelAction2D's new interface for the upcoming Version 4. It's slick, beautiful, easier on the eye, and it fits in with a modern software pipeline much better than previous versions.
It's also more configurable, to suit the way you want to work, and it's using all-new technology, making it easier to us to add new functionality. This means that the pace of development for CelAction2D will increase even further, giving you new features even faster to make you even more productive.

CelAction2D is "must-have" skill for UK animators
CelAction2D is regarded as a "must-have" skill for the UK animation industry, and there is currently a skills shortage which Creative Skillset is hoping to satisfy. During a speech in Annecy last month, Kate O'Connor talked about the need for animators to know how to use CelAction2D.

Dan The Man, the hugely successful series of short films by Studio Joho, has just been published in its entirety on YouTube. You can see all of the films on the CelAction YouTube channel.

CelAction workshop at FMX
Andy Blazdell from CelAction will be doing a workshop at FMX in Stuttgart, talking about Sarah & Duck, Karrot Animation's hit CBeebies series. It is on Tuesday 23rd April at 11am, and again on Thursday 25th April at 11am (the same presentation, but rehearsed one extra time), both in Raum Mannheim. As the launch for CelAction2D Version 4 approaches, we'll be releasing teaser pictures of the exciting new interface. Today we're showing the new product logo. We went for reassuring familiarity, but we made the number 4 dynamic and edgy.
