CelAction open over holidays
As usual, CelAction will be open between Christmas and New Year.
Children's BAFTA nominations for CelAction2D-made productions!
Sarah & Duck by Karrot Entertainment and Peppa Pig by Astley Baker Davies have been nominated in the Pre-School Animation category, and The Snowy Day by Karrot Entertainment has been nominated in the International Category at the Children's BAFTAs! Karrot Entertainment has also been nominated once again for the Independent Production Company award. The award ceremony will be held on 26th November 2017.

Dot. by Industrial Brothers won the Rogers Prize For Excellence In Canadian Content at the 2017 Rockies awards held at the BANFF World Media Festival.

The Snowy Day wins 2 Emmys!
The Snowy Day, produced by Karrot Animation for Amazon Studios, has won both the Outstanding Pre-School Children's Animated Program and the Outstanding Music Direction and Composition awards at the Daytime Emmys held on April 30th.

Making-Of Simon's Cat at FMX
CelAction's Andy Blazdell will be presenting a workshop at FMX about how the massively popular Simon's Cat is made using CelAction2D software. There are two chances to see the workshop: Wednesday 3rd May at 12pm in Raum Mannheim, and Thursday 4th May at 3pm in Raum Karlsruhe.

The Snowy Day gets Emmy nominations!
The Snowy Day, produced by Karrot Animation for Amazon Studios, has been nominated for a massive 5 awards at the Daytime Emmys being held on April 30th. The nominations are for Outstanding Pre-School Children's Animated Program, Outstanding Directing in a Pre-School Animated Program, Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special, Outstanding Music Direction and Composition and Outstanding Sound Mixing - Pre-School Animated Program.

The Snowy Day by Karrot Animation has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement, Character Animation in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production at the 44th Annie Awards, to be held on the 4th February in Los Angeles.
New CelAction website is live!
Welcome to the new CelAction website! Completely re-engineered and ready to scale up to the demands of the CelAction2D Version 4 launch, expect there to be a lot of new content in the future.
Two CelAction2D shows nominated for Broadcast awards!
Footy Pups by Dot To Dot Productions and Lily's Driftwood Bay by Sixteen South are both nominated in the Best Pre-School Programme category of the 2017 Broadcast Awards. The ceremony will be held in London on 1st February 2017.
Happy New Year!
In November 2017 it will be the 20th anniversary of CelAction2D, the most powerful 2D animation software in the world! And we're going to celebrate in style, with some major milestones!
Firstly, we've gone into feature freeze on CelAction2D Version 4. This means that we have finalized the new functionality of the software, and we're into the final testing phase, doing the last few usability tweaks and performance optimizations. We're keeping the New Features list and the Release Date to ourselves for the time being, while we get the Help File documentation and marketing materials sorted out.
Secondly, we've been busy preparing a new website, which will go live soon. Designed to scale up gracefully with the new content we'll be adding to the site, it will also be easier to access from mobile phones.
And last but not least, our international expansion plans will soon be coming to fruition. Some of you will be aware of them already, some of you are a part of them already, but all CelAction clients, past, present and future, will benefit from our continued growth.
