CelAction open over holidays
As usual, CelAction will be open between Christmas and New Year.
Children's BAFTA nominations for CelAction2D-made productions!
Sarah & Duck by Karrot Entertainment has been nominated in the Pre-School Animation category, Aliens Love Underpants And... by Tiger Aspect Productions has been nominated in the Short Form category and Horrible Histories by Lion Television has been nominated in the Comedy category at the Children's BAFTAs! The award ceremony will be held on 25th November 2018.
There are several other nominations of note too - Pablo's Art World Adventure by Paper Owl Films in the Digital category, Apple Tree House by Five Trees in the Pre-School Live Action category, the Horrible Histories writing team in the Writer category, and Tasha Lawrence as Sarah in Sarah & Duck in the Young Performer category.
Olobob Top designer wins in Manchester
Leigh Hodgkinson has won the Industry Excellence Award for Character Design for Olobob Top at the 2018 Manchester Animation Festival.

CelAction crews show excellence in Manchester
Congratulations to these immensely talented women who have been nominated for the 2018 Industry Excellence Awards - Krystal Georgiou for Storyboarding on Luo Bao Bei, Rachel Thorn for Character Animation on Simon's Cat, and Leigh Hodgkinson for Character Design on Olobob Top. All three productions are animated using CelAction2D. The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on 15th November at the Manchester Animation Festival.
CelAction shows dominate International Kids Emmy Awards
Luo Bao Bei by Magic Mall/Cloth Cat Animation and Lily's Driftwood Bay by Sixteen South have both been nominated in the PreSchool category at the International Emmy Kids Awards to be presented in Cannes, France on April 9, 2019.
Bluey most viewed 2D show at MIP Junior
Bluey by Ludo Studio was the most viewed 2D show at MIP Junior 2018, and the third most viewed show overall.

The Snowy Day by Karrot Entertainment won Pre-school Best In Class and Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie, Sarah & Duck by Karrot Entertainment won Best Pre-school Animated Series, and Peppa Pig by Astley Baker Davies won Best Directing and Best Voice Talent at the 2018 Kidscreen awards held on February 13th in Miami.

School Of Roars by Dot To Dot Productions, Apple Tree House by Five Apples and Lily's Driftwood Bay by Sixteen South are all nominated in the Best Pre-School Programme category of the 2018 Broadcast Awards. The ceremony will be held in London on 7th February 2018.
Happy New Year!
Excitement is building for our upcoming release of CelAction2D version 4. We have changed the architecture and the look significantly compared to version 3, while keeping all the tools and workflows intact so that current users can just carry on working in it as always without distraction. The new architecture allows us to add more powerful tools, develop more quickly, and stay at the cutting edge of 2D animation technology.
In addition, we've been bringing certain features from version 4 into version 3 so our existing Studio Edition clients can get their hands on them early. This means that these new features are being used right now in real productions, and are being refined and improved according to feedback from users. This would normally happen during the version 4 Beta test, so it's great to get this done in advance.
Aside from development of version 4, our expansion into Canada and Asia continues. Stay tuned for news of great opportunities.
