Two CelAction2D animators have been nominated for Character Animation at the 2019 Industry Excellence Awards - Kaye Heywood for Pinkalicious & Peterrific and Mark Nute for Bluey. The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on 14th November at the Manchester Animation Festival.

Many shows made with CelAction2D have been nominated for awards at the Irish Animation Awards to be held in Dingle, Ireland on 23rd March 2019. Claude by Sixteen South is nominated in the Best Animated Preschool Series and Kid's Choice (Preschool) categories, Pablo by Paper Owl Films is nominated in the Best Animated Preschool Series category, Pinkalicious & Peterrific by Sixteen South is nominated in the Kid's Choice (Preschool) category, Hopscotch and the Christmas Tree by Ink & Light is nominated in the Best Irish Feature Film/Special and Best Animation categories, and The Day Henry Met... director Gary Gill from Wiggleywoo is nominated for Best Director of an Animated TV Series.

Horrible Histories by Lion Television is also nominated for Best Children's Programme. The ceremony will be held in London on 6th February 2019.
