Claude by Sixteen South has won Best Animated Preschool Series, and Pablo by Paper Owl Films has won Best Writer for Preschool Animation at the Irish Animation Awards which were held on 21st May.

Pins and Nettie by Daily Madness Productions has been nominated for Best Animated Preschool Series, Best Music, Best Irish IP and Best Director of an Animated Series, Sol by Paper Owl Films has been nominated for Best Irish Feature or Special, Claude by Sixteen South has been nominated for Best Animated Preschool Series, Best Music and Best Irish IP, Pablo by Paper Owl Films has been nominated for Best Animated Preschool Series and Best Writer for Preschool Animation, and Pinkalicious and Peteriffic by Sixteen South has been nominated for Best Director of an Animated Series, at the Irish Animation Awards which will be announced on Friday 21st May.

Learn CelAction2D for free!

CelAction, in association with ScreenSkills, is providing free training courses in its popular CelAction2D animation software, used on shows like Peppa Pig, Bluey and Mr. Bean The Animated Series. There will be two courses, one for animation running from May 17th-28th, and one for rigging running from June 7th-18th, designed to bring participants up to professional standards and prepare them for work in the animation industry.

“With the UK animation industry thriving, our home-grown talent needs to be well-equipped to take on animation and rigging roles on new productions. As such, ScreenSkills is pleased to support CelAction to offer these free online courses,” said Abigail Addison, animation production liaison executive, ScreenSkills.

"The generous help of ScreenSkills enables us to provide training that will nurture and support creatives who aspire to work in the most exciting and in-demand jobs in the industry," said Andy Blazdell, CEO of CelAction.
